VIKA and GIG news.

Hi there.

SOOO we haven’t been in contact much recently. Sorry about that. But the truth is we’ve been really busy. As some of you may know we’ve got our first ever gig coming up next tuesday at the Bull and Gate in London. Tickets can (and should!) be bought here:

We’d love to see as many of you guys there as possible, it’d mean a lot to us. (Plug over.)

But that’s not all we’ve been up to. We’ve written a new song for you to enjoy too. It’s called Vika. You can find it here: Vika

This time around we wanted to make a song that could be accessible whilst retaining charm and personality. It’s based around a dance/house template, and features elements of the dreaded dubstep too. Yet you can hardly call a song “mainstream” when it’s focal point is tennis player Victoria Azarenka’s grunt, you know? Add some subtle guitar riffs and jazz inspired drums and you’ve got yourself a new song. We hope you guys love it as much as us (quite a lot by the way).

Have a beautiful week folks, hope to see you next Tuesday. Pleeeease tell us what you think of the song, and pleeeeeaaaasse follow us on twitter here:

Big love,

Songs songs songs

Hey duudes!

So the moment we’ve been building up for ages has come… and gone. Kind of. If you have not listened to it yet, here is the link to the free mixtape,

If you click the link you shalt find 3 new songs up for grabs. Firstly is Pillow Talk, the single we put up about a month ago. Next up is Patience Is Power- minimal drums overlap a moody lil bass riff and soul samples. Finally is Snow Day, a track I (George) wrote in 2 hours the day before heading abroad. It was snowing at the time. I was inspired. Go figure.

So we should have some more interviews and blog news and whatnot in the near future. In the meantime hit us up- whats your favourite song of the tape? Do you like any of the songs of the tape? Have you listened to the tape? Stuff like that.

George and Oli xxx

We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has listened to and given us feedback on the new song Pillow Talk, we really appreciate it.

In the last few weeks we’ve been featured on the radio (BBC Kent and Trainspotters), and we’ve had an email interview with the lovely folks at Gruff Trade. If you want a read, look no further-

Now, some people have been wondering why we are releasing a @mixtape and not an EP. Is there even any actual mixing in said mixtape? The answer is no, no there is not. For us, a mixtape is that cassette you painstakingly put together for someone you love, out of the goodness of your sweet sweet heart. Ahhh. We wanted to put these songs up for free, and as there is only 3 of them we thought dubbing it a mixtape suits it better. Hope thats cleared up.

It’ll be released March 16th and we’ll post the links up online then. Until then…

Pillow Talk

Hey all, we’re back.

We are pleased to announce the release of Pillow Talk, the lead single of our very first mixtape. The song sees us playing around with vocal samples, both electronic and live drums, and bass/guitar part harmonies, all of which make for our best song yet (probably). Listen to it right here:

This “Mixtape” we keep speaking of will be released on March 14th via the internet, and will be a free download to all. Sweet as.

I know we say it every time, but please try and spread the word about the band. It takes a long time to make these songs so we want to see as many people enjoying them as we can. They’re all free songs, and everyone likes free stuff, so there’s no reason others can’t get involved!

Thanks again for all your support, and we’ll be in touch soon.

Sup dudes,

Hope everyone had a very merry xmas and a happy new year. We certainly did. 2011 was a cracking year for the band, but we’ve got some big plans for 2012 as well. We don’t want to say much else, but stayed tuned…

We’d love some more fans for when we put out some new tunes (ie, V SOON) so pleasepleaseplease tell people to like/follow/listen/worship/ect.

Speak soon, love you all

Hey dudes, it’s George, reporting live from Kathmandu airport (Nepal), getting ready to fly into Delhi. Despite the rumours that I’d died, I can now confirm that I’m allll right. Having a great time, and I’ve been picking up news from crappy cybercafes all across Nepal. Checking soundcloud next to rabid dogs and street children is a strange feeling indeed! Thanks to everyone for getting us up to 100 likes THEN 150 likes on FB! Really really grateful, cheers to one and all. We were featured on BBC intro last week (Sleep Dep), I don’t know if anyone realised? I only found out a few days ago, apparently nice things were said. As Oli said- we were featured here as well: Great site, please do check them out.

In other news, I’ve been elephant riding, planking on bus roofs, trekking in the Himalayas, haggling my ass off, and surprisingly am yet to get ill. Still, I fear Delhi belly is on the horizon…

Keep plugging and keep well,

George xx

The First Post George Leaving Post

Now that George is in India the blog has slowed down a lot. All apologies from myself but today I bring good news- We are featured in a webzine called tv is in the radio- check it out here

Other than that, not a lot of news from me- we can only hope that George has found himself in India and returns alive for new songs awaiting in Christmas and hopefully some live shows!

Much Love, Stay in School,

After a “flurry” of activity, Team Morale are going quiet for a bit- as I (George) am going to Nepal and India (not that I’m complaining). We’ll hopefully have some more stuff up after christmas, but until then, enjoy final track of this “chapter”- Namaste.

Also- Sleep Deprivation has been remixed, check it out here. It’s very impressive

We’ll be making a second appearance on Q radio this weekend- Sleep Dep’s getting played :) , so listen to it for me as I’ll be stuck on a flight to Qatar at the time!

All the best, and we’d love to have over 100 likes on facebook and a few more twitter followers when we next put up a song, so plug!!

Coma Pop

It’s a right of passage for all new indie bands to create a new genre to place themselves in, and luckily for us Gill Mills of “New Music Matters” has already made one- “Coma Pop”. Take a listen to what she had to say about our track “Organ Droner” here: (you can skip to 38:00 to hear the comments). The new song has been finished, and will be up VERY soon, so be ready for it. In the mean time please get others to like us on FB, follow us on twitter, and listen to our songs. I think the new one is our strongest so far, so get excited…

A busy week.

Wow. Just wow. What a week we’ve had. Almost 500 Soundcloud plays, hugely positive feedback and two radio show appearances in 2 days: Q radio on Saturday and BBC Kent on Sunday. It’s been a great experience for us but there’s no reason for it to stop now. We’ve got some more press on our way in the near future (if all goes to plan), and as promised another song will be surfacing online very shortly. In the slightly longer term we’ll be looking at song covers, videos, remixes and collaborations, and *maybe* a gig at the start of the New Year, so stay tuned.

We have to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far, the response has been really touching. And the more fans we have, the more likely we are to get shows, so tell your friends!

All the best,

George and Oli x
